Coach Anthony Hornbuckle established STEAL Softball Academy in 2022 to provide an opportunity for ALL levels of players and coaches looking to level up their softball game. 

Coach Anthony has a proven track record of developing athletes into top notch players.  He is highly energetic and brings an unmatched passion to his students, teams, and to the game of softball.

He had the pleasure of coaching 3 years of Varsity softball at 7A Grissom HS in Huntsville. Throughout his career at Grissom, Coach has been blessed to have the opportunity to improve the culture and be a part of so many hard working athletes' lives.

While running the Bulls Softball Organization, he has been a part of:

• Helping 45+ student athletes reach the college level

• Produced 6 Offensive and 2 Defensive National MVPS.

• 9 State titles with 3 Runner-ups and 5 3rd place finishes

• 7 World Series titles with 2 Runner-up and multiple top 5 finishes

• 1 National Championship with 4 Runner-ups and multiple top 5 finishes.

• 1,200+ HC career wins in 11 years. 

Coach Anthony resides with his wife, Ashlie, and 2 children, Skye and Chase, all who are fully devoted to the game.  Ashlie is the heart and soul behind her husband's travel program and loves all the families and players as her own. Skye brings a high levels of confidence and leadership to her Middle School Softball/Volleyball/Basketball teams at Journey. Skye was honored in softball by making All-County on the JMS team and then moved up to Varsity as a 7th grader.  Chase played baseball for James Clemens HS and helped the program finish 3rd in State his Senior year.  He is currently transitioning into his Sophomore year in college.
